The good ol' rule book! Just keeping it simple with the basics and some generals about the group! Due to how long some details are they're put in sta.sh files located in a link below the section.  

⌦ General Rules

- Golden rule always, treat others like how you'd like to be treated. Harassment is not tolerated and will be dealt with.

- Send a note always if something comes up instead of taking on the problem yourself within the group. The mods will handle it to the best of their abilities. 

- Group is PG-16+ for mature themes-please take this in consideration. There will be an NSFW chat for any 18+ conversation, rp, etc and any artwork submitted must have an adult warning if it's also 18+ (though yes its okay to submit).

- While you need a visual app to join, you can participate in the group without drawing by being apart of rp prompts and events with submissions being rp logs or one shot literature.  

- You may commission another artist to do your application artwork or use an adoptable. However if the artist is not credited somewhere in the app or if you don't have their permission we will decline it. 

- Tracing, dolling or bases are not allowed. We don't judge by art quality so just do your best! 

- All currency and karmic shifts are updated in our system bi-weekly on a google doc. We insist you keep tabs on your own currency/shifts so you wont have to wait.

General

- All NSFW rps are taken either to the NSFW chat or in private

- Please keep everything in canon with the group world. 

RP Prompts

- RP Prompts are sort of hubs within a main story where anyone can drop a comment rp starter in the uploaded deviation. 

- Please keep it one on one during comment rps so there isnt any confusion. 
 

Group Chat/ Chatroom

- During rp all out of character chat (OOC) is done in brackets.

- Please ask to join an rp before jumping in, vice versa to the ones who started the group rp, do not ignore any rpers wanting to join. The group chat is public. All private rps are taken outside.  

- There will be a group rp chat and ooc chat for dA. However we will also have a rp chat, NSFW chat, and ooc chat for Skype available.

⌦ What is a Conduit?

A conduit is much like your average everyday human...because, well they are except for one thing. They have super natural abilities and powers thanks to what is called the "Conduit Gene" all Conduits are born with. How some are born with this while others aren't is not for certain. 

They can range to many different abilities, powers and known to be fast healers with durability beyond that of an average person. How they tap into it however is not easily done. Some Conduits will go throughout their lives without knowing they had potential.

There are three different "classes" at enFAMED you can use including Prime Conduit (Conduits who activate their powers naturally-this will be the majority), Par-Conduit (Conduits who activate their powers through power transfer from technologies from the DUP either from being tested on or from joining their military), and Norm ("Normals", they actually aren't Conduits at all and don't have powers. Just humans who stand with the Conduit's cause. This option is only reserved for secondary characters or NPCs).   



⌦ [ Karmic State ]



An important implement in the group! What does your character choose to do with their powers? Are they beneficiaries and want to help the public? Or do they choose to debate the public? The character participation in the group dictates their karmic state which thereby shapes their powers. Those choosing Positive Karma have powers usually having beneficial or saving effects to them such as sparring a target from the full affect by knocking them out. Those who negative karma have the opposite and tend to have enhanced strength in their powers intended to harm. Finally there are those who are true neutrals, they do no good and do no bad. Their powers fluctuate on either side but don't have the "full affect" of a true good or a true bad so to speak. 

The karmic state is also said to affect the appearance of one's powers. Those shifting towards Negative Karma have a red like tint in their powers while those shifting towards positive karma have a blue feel. It might even turn powers more jagged or smooth in appearance; feel free to interpret or ignore this as you like. 

Starting off your character is allowed one place in either Positive or Negative Karma to have a start on where their powers should be influenced. Anyone who wants to start Neutral has the ability to do so and choose how their powers shape until their character finds a place. Do note that their karmic state is not static and does change depending on group involvement. It's all apart of the development!



⌦ [ Appearance ]

enFAMED is modern day; mostly in urban cities and towns. Feel free to dress your character to their preferences (though obviously nothing nude haha).

Conduits aren't anything special in appearance though mild changes can happen due to their powers such as paler skin, slightly pointed ears, sharper teeth, odd colored irises etc-just nothing obsessive that can't be hidden (if they have animal ears due to shapeshifting abilities they'd have to wear a hat, or if they have wings because of aerial powers it would probably have to be covered by a sweatshirt of some sort). They still have to appear in public without getting easily sighted and captured.  

 

⌦ [ Weapons ]

Your character is allowed to have a hand held weapon for upclose melee combat or for thoose who don't have powers they can protect themselves with. Please keep it simple and mobile such as baseball bats, pipes, brass knuckles, etc-be creative!

This is completely optional. If you don't feel like they wouldn't want/need a weapon you can ignore this!


 

To join enFAMED in the first place be sure to fill out the app located in Resources. Below is a "How To" to get you started in the Artist Comments!

    At least a decent paragraph. What's required is how they discovered their powers (or lack thereof). Conduits will naturally get their powers from undergoing extreme pressure to breaking point. Just keep it from going too extreme and research is key to any mental or physical disabilities mentioned.

    Negative: [ Thug ]. Criminal. Bio-Terrorist. Most Wanted. Infamous.

    (Start at Protector, Thug, or Neutral-delete any state you haven't chosen otherwise)

    [ Type ] (Prime Conduit, Par-Conduit, Norm)
    [ Power ] (What power can they control? Only one power and no god-modding or omniperfect powers)
    [ Ability ] X (Start with one and earn 7 total later on-what can they do with their powers? Name and explain.)

    While Conduits are known commonly to have kinetic abilities ("motion control" such as shifting water, creating electricity, moving air, moving earth, etc) they don't stray far from other powers. 

    Abilities are what falls under what they can do with their powers. Ex.X character has Pyrokinesis, an ability would be "Fire Shot: A barade of fire shoots from their hands" or "Flare Dash: Rushes forward in a burst of flame". Name and do what you like though be sure to level off your character so they're not all defensive or offensive. All Conduits start out with one ability at the beginning of the group and earn the rest later on.

May 29, 2009

 A catastrophic blast goes off in the center of Empire City, New York leveling five to six blocks in the aftermath. The whole of the city begins to fall apart with riots and crime along with a violent plague that starts to sweep the population. The government in desperate attempts for control seals the city in a quarantine, leaving thousands of lives trapped and in the hands of crime bands and lawlessness. Society ceases to exist.  

A man by the name of Cole MacGrath appears onto the scene taking gangs head-on, restoring power into cut off parts of the city, and is even said to have healed the sick. 

He was said to have electricity pouring out of his hands and superhuman abilities... This would be the world's first idea of a "Conduit".  



He was last spotted in New Marais, New Orleans and hasn't been heard of since.


XX, XX, 2016

Conduits are labled "bio-terrorist" out of fear of thier abilities. The government forms the Department of Unified Protection (DUP) to ensure they're controlled and that events like the explosion in Empire City doesn't happen again. Through the use of propaganda the name of "Conduits" is slurred-turning the public against them and forcing most out of hiding.

Conduits are rounded up and tortured at Curdan Cay prison in Washington.


March 24, 2016


Conduits are said to no longer be a threat. The DUP is being phased out with the remaining conduits being left in military hands. A carrier containing subdued conduits slides off road with the Conduits inside escaping. The DUP takes residence and control in nearby Seattle, Washington to subdue them while causing havoc to the township.



A boy named Delsin Rowe and a small group of other conduits that are banning together is said to be standing up to the threat using his own abilities to absorb borrowed powers. 





XX, XX, 2016

Since the stand up Conduits all over have come out of hiding to fight back the spreading power of the DUP that has since started to scan other cities. 

Some have chosen to be bitter and relent against the populace while others have decided to chose to use their powers to fight back and show people they are not a threat.

Two Conduits seemed to have approached you talking about their purpose of reaching out to help the cause, though they are polar in how they come to solving the problem. One speaks of fighting everyone back including the "ignorant" while the other talks about using their abilities to show people they're no threat while still fending off the DUP. 

No matter your side, or even no side at all, you are all now labeled "Bio-Terrorist" with a need to take action.
